All this rain got me thinking. I follow Lolla on twitter and they just came up in my newsfeed with tweets of how they are #evacuating Grant Park bc of serious weather. I don’t get it? Why evacuate.. Delay the show, sure but to make 150,000 + people leave the park is a little cray. A little rain never hurt anybody. There was a major rainstorm last year and we didn’t need to evacuate. We took cover under the Sony Bloggie Borrow Bar tent. They were handing out cameras to borrow to take footage of the festival. (my phone was outdated a year ago and had a camera reel time of like 20 secs). I would never have any camera footage if I didn’t get trapped in the bloggie bar during the tsunami. Of course I felt bad for the kid on crutches with muddy bandages tied around his ankle, but he didn’t look like he cared. He was still trooping on with a smile.

And after the rain stopped, dancing in the mud to Damian Marley and Nas.. And then the rainbow before dark and before the Foo Fighters…

Last week Anthropologie held an ‘Outfitting Ingrid’ contest for singer Ingrid Michaelson. The idea of the contest was to create an outfit that would suit Ingrid’s style for one of her shows that she could perform in. I created this outfit above and Ingrid chose my outfit as her favorite.
